Thank you for your booking and Welcome.
We will do our utmost to ensure your stay will be pleasant and fulfil your expectations.
To align expectations please read the below text and find further information on our website, and please feel free to give us a call at your convenience to ask all questions in mind.
On-line bookings are efficient but cannot replace the feel of a place which can be made over the phone.
You invest precious time in coming to stay, we live and work here, for all involved it is best when the experience in all aspects is successful.
Hillside has over the years had the very best guests possible to stay and is blessed with a very high number of returners.
When coming here it is our shared responsibility to maintain that very proud tradition, for many more years.
Children Policy
Hillside Hotel, Apartments, Restaurant & Bistro welcome children of the age of 12 years plus.
Pets
We are unable to accept dogs or any other pets within the property and are happy to help with arrangements.
Booking Terms
Booking deposits must be paid for using an acceptable and valid credit or debit card. Unfortunately we do not accept American Express.
For on-line bookings, a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total accommodation booking - minimum £50 per person - will be charged to the card number supplied to us via our secure on-line booking system, at the time of booking.
The Booking Terms apply to Hillside Ventnor Limited and are governed by English law and apply to all Bookings except where we agree in writing other terms.
By making a Booking you are accepting these Booking Terms.
Bookings
Bookings are made and a contract between you and Hillside comes into effect when we accept a reservation from you. We will accept a reservation when we have confirmed your booking request either in writing by letter or by email and have received a non-refundable deposit of, or if otherwise agreed, full payment of the total price quoted. The balance will be paid on checkout. Please be aware that a 2% card handling charge is applied to all card transactions for final balance payments – excluding the non-refundable deposit.
Special services requested on-line are subject to availability.
For bookings at Restaurant or Bistro please be aware that when more than 5 persons, a £15 per person in non-refundable deposit apply.
When a table and seating time has been agreed in Restaurant or Bistro we do our utmost to meet these expectations – in case of any delay we appreciate a phone call and will holdthe table up to 20 minutes - hereafter the reservation might not hold.
You must be able to enter into a legally binding contract and be over 18 years of age to make a Booking.
Please let us know if you would be interested in booking Hillside on an exclusively basis. Presently priced at £500 per night given minimum 15 people staying.
Prices
Rates are per room per night inclusive of breakfast served between 8 and 9 am, for the number and names of people agreed on the confirmation and includes 20% VAT. Rates do not include other costs you may choose to incur during your stay (unless otherwise stated).
Rates quoted are correct only for the specific number and names of guests, nights and dates shown. Should you change the number of guests, dates or room nights, then the rates are subject to change. Special deals and prices are based on 2 people sharing a room.
All rates are subject to change.
When your stay is arranged on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast price rate and you eat at the Bistro and pay for the meal at the Bistro - £20 per person will be reimbursed on the rate.
We have competitive rates with a ferry company and are pleased to make ferry bookings on your behalf. Please provide us with preferred timings for travel.
Availability.
In the rare case that due to unforeseen circumstances we cannot deliver your requested rooms, you will be offered alternative accommodation.
Arrival and departure
Check-in times are between 1500 hrs. & 1700 hrs., check-in times outside of those specified must be agreed with Hillside prior to arrival. The Check-out time is by 1000 hrs..
Cancellations
Any non-refundable booking Deposit, 25% of the total amount of accommodation booking - minimum £50 per person-will be forfeited if you cancel your booking.
Any cancellations received within 14 days of the scheduled date of arrival as printed on your booking confirmation, a charge equivalent to the cost of 50% of your stay will be applied if we are unable to re-let the booking. Any cancellations received within 72 hours of the scheduled date and time of arrival as printed on your booking confirmation, a charge equivalent to the cost of 90% of your stay will be applied if we are unable to re-let the booking.
Any cancellations received within 24 hours of the scheduled date and time of arrival as printed on your booking confirmation, a charge equivalent to the cost of 100% of your stay will be applied.
We would recommend that guests purchase suitable holiday / cancellation insurance to cover for this eventuality.
Amendments.
To amend or Cancel Your Booking, please email or call us.
If you amend Your Booking it will be seen as a cancellation.
Cancelling and re booking at the same time (amendment), might include, that a part of the potential forfeit of previous booking, can be seen as a prepayment of a new booking – all considerations taken into account.
To clarify and confirm situations about cancellations and amendments we will, on request, email the conclusion of our conversation according to our terms and conditions.
Conditions.
We have some rules and arrangements that are designed to ensure that we comply with regulations relating to matters such as fire, health and safety, licensing, access to enhance the comfort and well-being of our guests. If you would like to check our conditions of stay please contact us.
We reserve the right to terminate your booking immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation where you engage in unacceptable behavior that causes a disturbance or nuisance to other guests or violate the rules in place to secure well-being of all guests.
Liability
Other than for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or misrepresentation, our total liability to you is limited to the price of the booking and to the fullest extent permitted by law all warranties are excluded and in no circumstances will we be responsible for any indirect or special damages.
We will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond our reasonable control. You are responsible for any damage or loss caused to us or our property by your act, omission, default or neglect and you agree to indemnify us and to pay us on demand the amount reasonably required to make good or remedy any such damage or loss.
Non-Smoking policy
We operate a strict non-smoking policy throughout our establishment and request that all guests respect our wishes.
Bookings and Group Bookings.
We reserve the right to verbally dialogue any booking and group booking to ensure we find that Hillside is the right place for the stay and gathering.
Data protection
We may process the information you provide to us for the purposes notified to us by the Information Commissioner. By making a booking, you consent to this processing of information.
